Current Priorities

We identified several areas that needed immediate attention to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our families. Here are some of the key improvements we’ve made so far:

Enhanced Safety: Updated first aid kits and outdoor emergency packs to better prepare for any situation.
Child-Friendly Facilities: Installed safer, taller stools for children to use at the sinks comfortably and securely. Also repaired damage to walls, bathrooms, and repainted parts of the center.
Reception Area Upgrades: Improved the front desk with a new computer and implemented updated payment software for smoother operations.
New Branding and Signage: Created a fresh, professional look for the center with updated logos and signs.
Purchase of the Business, Licensing, and Compliance: Managed licensing transfer fees to ensure a seamless transition and full compliance.
Organized Storage: Installed new shelving and cleared out storage areas to create a cleaner, more functional space for staff and supplies.
New Toys and Learning Materials: A bulk purchase from a closing daycare in the area was made to add to our toy library and ensure adequate supplies for our staff to teach the children well.

These changes were made with a personal loan from Alexa (the new owner) along with her personal savings. We are working first on paying this off.

Future Priorities

Adult and Pediatric AED

Safety is our top priority, and we want to work toward adding an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to our center. An AED is a vital piece of life-saving equipment that can be used in cardiac emergencies, offering peace of mind for families and staff alike.

Replacing the Floors

Currently, the flooring throughout the center is showing its age, with tiles that are peeling and worn, and the carpet has been well loved. While it has served its purpose for many years, it’s time for an upgrade.

Our goal is to replace the old flooring with a durable, safe, and modern option that provides a clean and welcoming environment for the children to learn, play, and grow. This improvement will not only enhance the appearance of the center but also create a safer space for everyone.
