Toddlers

Welcome to the Poppy Room

Our Toddler Room, where curiosity thrives! This stage is all about exploration, learning through play, and fostering independence in a safe and supportive environment.

Our dedicated caregivers create a fun and engaging atmosphere where toddlers can develop essential skills and build confidence as they explore the world around them. Through hands-on activities and guided play, we support their growth and celebrate each new milestone.

The Toddler Room offers:

  • Developmentally Appropriate Activities: Designed to encourage language, motor, social, and cognitive skills.

  • Daily Routines with Flexibility: A balance of structure and free play, tailored to toddlers’ unique energy and curiosity.

  • Creative Play Opportunities: From sensory bins and art projects to dramatic play and building activities.

  • Outdoor Adventures: Time to run, jump, and explore the outdoors, promoting physical development and a love for nature.

  • Focus on Social Skills: Encouraging sharing, taking turns, and positive interactions with peers.

We understand the importance of nurturing both independence and connection during this exciting stage. Our team is here to guide and support your toddler every step of the way!

Toddler Curriculum

Our toddler curriculum is refreshed each month to keep learning exciting and engaging. New themes inspire hands-on activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and skill-building in areas like communication, motor development, and social interaction. By offering a variety of experiences, we ensure toddlers stay interested, explore new ideas, and enjoy their journey of discovery.

Daily Curriculum

  • Circle Time: Singing songs with hand motions, learning new words, naming colors, and singing the ABCs!

  • Activities: Exploratory arts and crafts, motor skill activities, or sensory activities based on the theme of the month

  • Supported Group Play: Building towers together, rolling a ball to our friends, or building a racetrack of cars are a few of the many options our teachers will lead the kids through

  • Free Play: Promoting free exploration and social interaction

  • Solo Play Station: A given learning station is set outside of the main play area- and the children come and go from said stations voluntarily, 1 at a time. Allows a break from free play in the classroom.
